HomeStock privacy policy

Effective October 20, 2026

This policy explains what information the HomeStock app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. HomeStock is made by MOMM Partners LLC ("MOMM Partners", "we", "us"). If you have questions, email mike@mommpartners.com.

In short: we collect only what HomeStock needs to work. Your household's inventory is visible only to members of your household. We don't show ads, we don't track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell your information.

What we collect

Account information

Your email address, a password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form), and the name you choose to show your household.

Household information

Your household's name, who belongs to it, and invite codes you create.

What you put in the app

Items, brands, categories, quantities, storage locations, expiration dates, open-package details, shopping list items and notes, plus a history of changes showing which member made each change and when. This history is what makes Undo work.

Barcodes

When you scan a barcode, HomeStock saves the barcode and the product details for your household so it recognizes the product next time.

Camera

The camera is used only while you're on the Scan screen, to read barcodes. HomeStock does not take, save or upload photos or video.

What we don't collect

We don't collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers or browsing activity, and HomeStock doesn't include advertising or analytics tracking.

How we use it

Only to run HomeStock: to sign you in, keep your household's inventory and shopping list in sync across your household's phones, look up products you scan, and answer your support requests.

Who can see it

Your household. Everyone in your household can see the household's inventory, shopping list and change history, including the name you chose.

Service providers. We use Supabase to securely store data and handle sign-in. They process data only to provide that service to us.

Product lookups. When you scan a barcode HomeStock hasn't seen before, the barcode number is sent to the product databases Open Food Facts and UPCitemdb to find the product's name. Only the barcode number is sent, along with the technical details any internet request includes, such as your IP address. No account information is sent.

Testing. If you test HomeStock through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may share crash reports and any feedback you choose to send with us.

Legal reasons. We'll disclose information only if required by law.

We never sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising.

How we protect it

Information travels over encrypted connections. Database rules limit each household's data to that household's members.

How long we keep it, and deleting it

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings, or by emailing us. When you delete your account, we delete your account and profile. If you're the only member of your household, the household's data is deleted too. If other people share your household, the shared inventory and list stay for them, and your name is removed from it.

Your choices

You can see and change your information in the app at any time. To ask for a copy of your information, a correction or deletion, email mike@mommpartners.com.

Children

HomeStock isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
